Abstract

397,406. Saddles. ARDIE - WERK AKT.-GES., 5, Preissler Strasse, Nuremberg, Germany. March 18, 1933, No. 8294. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1932. [Class 136 (iii).] In a motor-cycle &c. saddle having springing which is adjustable according to the weight of the rider, the saddle has two compression springs lying in the same plane and controlling the pivotal movement of the saddle, the initial compression of the springs being adjustable. A lever d is fixed to the peak of the seat frame a, is pivoted by means of eyes b to the cycle frame c, and is connected by means of a bolt e and a forked member f to a pull rod g, which is guided in a plate h on the frame c under the control of a main compression spring k and a rebound compression spring l, such springs being adjusted by means of a wing- nut m. The springs are enclosed in telescopic casings.
