[Class 136 (iii)] In a pillion saddle for cycles of the type in which the seat 8 is carried by a rocking arm 1 pivoted to a supporting frame 4 under the control of horizontal springs, two longitudinal springs 6 arranged on either side of the rocking arm are so secured to the rocking arm and the supporting frame that they are located underneath the latter, whereby the position of the seat and of the centre of gravity of the rider are brought as low as possible. The springs are adjustably secured at 3 to a depending limb 2 on the rocking arm 1, the front ends being attached to a part 5 on the underside of the frame 4.
