Abstract

154,369. Lamb, C. H. Sept. 11, 1919. Saddles and seats.-A seat 4 or luggage support for motor-cycles &c. is supported at each side by parallel links 5, 6 pivoted at 7, 9 to a foundation plate 1, which is secured at each end by U-bolts 2 to the cross-bars of the luggage-carrier. The links 5, 6 are connected by a pivoted link 14, and each link 6 is provided with an arm 15 under the control of an adjustable spring 20, which bears against a lug 19 depending from the plate 1. With this arrangement the seat &c. is constrained to remain horizontal, but is also capable of a vertical movement.
