433,019. Saddles. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP INDUSTRIE- & HANDELMAATSCHAPPIJ VOORHEEN A. J. KNOOP, 117, Rijksstraatweg, Breukelen, Holland. Nov. 16, 1934, No. 32994. Convention date, Nov. 16, 1933. [Class 136 (iii)] In a cycle saddle, the weight of the rider is taken by a pair of plate springs free at their rear ends and placed one. on each side of the central longitudinal line of the saddle top, which they support, these plate springs being in turn pivotally mounted and supported by a compression spring attached to their front ends. The top 1 is supported at the rear on two spaced plate springs 2, 3, which are twisted at 10 so that the front parts 4 are in a vertical plane, the parts 4 being rigidly united by a spacing- member and pivoted on a pin 7 between two bent supports 8 clamped to the saddle-pin 21. The peak end of the top 1 is connected to the usual tensioning-screw 12, mounted by means of a U-shaped member 13 on the pin 7. The front ends 4 of the plate springs 2, 3 are connected by a T-shaped bolt 26, 28 and a nut and washer 31 to the lower end of a compression spring 29, the upper end of which bears against a member 32 fixed between the supports 8.
