Abstract

529,160. Saddles. WRIGHT SADDLE CO., Ltd., and HOLLAND, C. A. July 22, 1939, No. 21316. [Class 136 (iii)] In a cycle saddle of the type comprising seat springs h stretched between nose and cantle plates d, g carried by an underframe formed of upper and lower members b, a separated at the rear by coil springs c, the upper member b is pivotally mounted at its front end, whereby the bolt e which connects the underframe to the nose plate d is relieved from strains when relative movement occurs between the upper and lower members b, a. The pivotal mounting is effected by means of a looped plate f, which is apertured to fit over the bolt e and is provided with a cylindrical loop f<SP>1</SP> at the bend to form a bearing for the front end of the upper member b.
