Abstract

410,413. Saddles. OTTENSTEIN, R., 61, Guntherstrasse, Nuremberg, Germany. Nov. 6, 1933, No. 30812. [Class 136 (iii).] A saddle is pivoted to the front end of an angular support or saddlepin, and is provided with a downwardlyextending arm to which are connected one or more springs for controlling the pivotal movement of the saddle, the rear ends of the springs being secured to the part of the saddle-pin which fits into the cycle frame. The saddle frame 3 is pivoted at 2 to a squared head 1<1> on the saddle-pin 1, and is provided with a downward extension 4 comprising a pair of parallel members connected together by a bolt 5, to which is connected the front end of a tension spring 6, the rear end of which is secured to the pin 1, as by means of a nut 7 to permit adjustment of the tension. The inner surfaces of the frame members 3, 4 bear against the flat sides of the head 1<1>.
