A combined saddle and pillion seat for a motor-cycle comprises a main frame a, a<SP>1</SP> pivoted to the motor-cycle at a<SP>7</SP>, springs bl supporting the main frame at its rear from the motor-cycle, the springs being disposed beneath the pillion seat cantlebar a<SP>4</SP> and a series of coiled tension springs e extending from the peak d adjacent the frame pivot a<SP>7</SP> to a saddle cantlebar c and a second series of coiled tension springs f extending from the cantlebar c to the pillion seat cantlebar a<SP>4</SP>. The saddle cantlebar c is supported on compression springs c<SP>1</SP> themselves supported on angle plates a <SP>5</SP> attached to the side members a, a<SP>1</SP> of the pivotal frame. Additional springs may be attached to the frame at a<SP>6</SP> to reinforce the main supporting springs bl. The first and second Provisional Specifications describe a modification in which the cantlebar of the pillion seat is provided with a pair of downwardly directed pins which slide freely within the upper coils of a pair of compression springs connected at their lower ends to a framework fixed to the mudguard.
