[Class 136 (iii)] A cycle &c. saddle comprises a top a supported on a pair of angular levers b, c, which are pivoted at i beneath the peak to the front end of a bracket or support d, under the control of tension springs g connected to the rear of the top a at e and to the front part f of the bracket d by means of a rod p pivoted to a member h, the parts being so arranged that the points e, f, i form a triangle ; and is characterized in that the springs g converge at their front ends to a common point on the rod p, which is vertically adjustable on the bracket part f by means of the member h, whereby the action of the springs may be adjusted according to the weight of the rider. The springs g are connected to the rod p by a forked member m, Fig. 3, and a right and left-hand screw n, o adapted to be actuated by a screw-driver &c. whereby the distance between the points e, f may be adjusted, in order to vary the tilt of the saddle.
