Abstract

395,391. Davits. SCHAT, A. P., 3, Victoria Road, Wimbledon Park, London. Jan. 7, 1932, No. 474. [Class 115.] The outwardly-inclined arms 14 of a pair of luffing- davits are employed as a track down which the boat 13 slides under gravity on release of the falls. In the event of the ship listing, the screw-gear 16 can be operated to luff the davit until the boat slides outboard. The boat may carry skates 17 which are guided in the channel section of the davit. Specification 347,403 is referred to.
