Abstract
707,806. Boat launching gear. WEBB, C. W. Oct. 3, 1952 [March 13, 1952], No. 6493/52. Class 115 An inclined support 1 for a boat is mounted so as to be capable of being turned about a pedestal 7, thus enabling the boat to be launched from either side of the ship. The boats rest on keel rollers 20, on bilge blocks 21 when stowed and on bilge guide rails 22 during launching. A stop 25, maintained in position by a wire 28 engages the lower end of the boat, and is controlled from a release 31.
