[Class 115.] The sliding davits a supporting the boat by the falls c are moved outwardly by separate ropes d, These ropes are passed round pulleys G, H, M. carried by the hydraulic rams in cylinders E, F, so that when the boat is moved outboard the movements given to the ropes c and d are sufficient to maintain the boat at the davit head. An arrangement using a winch is also described. Specification 270,163, [Class 115, Ships &c., Rigging &c. for], is referred to.
