Abstract

258,067. Fowler & Co. (Leeds), Ltd., J., and Fowler, C. H. Aug. 24, 1925. Gangways; mooring.-In the double engine or motor system of cultivation where the land is provided with waterways, punts are provided with inclined tracks 2 and hinged boards or gangways 3 to facilitate loading and unloading of the engines so that they may be placed on the punts or on the land. The boards 3 are adapted to be swung outwardly so as to rest on the land. The engines 6 may be run on or off the punts by their own power, the punts being adjustably secured by pairs of anchored cables wound on winches. They may also be hauled on to the punts by cables 5 wound on removable winches 4 on the hinged boards 3, and hauled off by means of their own cables and winding-drums..
