A removable platform for supporting cargo comprises side sections 7, 11, hinged to the ship's side, and rolling sections 13, supported on the hinged sections in the working position, and stowed at'the hatch end, similarly to hatch covers, when not required. Stanchions are provided to support the platform in its working position. Specification 631,003 is referred to.
