Abstract

1291643 Ladders WELIN AB 29 Jan 1970 [29 Jan 1969] 4381/70 Heading EIS A ship's accommodation ladder 21 is supported at each end on longitudinally movable supports 16, 18 via a hinged platform 15 and a pivoted davit 19 respectively, whereby the ladder can be brought into a vertical plane (Fig. 4, not shown) and thereafter pivot about an axis 28, to which the supports are fixed, into a position behind the bulwark 11, the supports passing through holes 23 and 24 in the bulwark. The supports run along rails 12 on sets of rollers, and the ladder is swung into the vertical position by a winch 31, is moved horizontally by winch 41, and swung over the bulwark by a compressed air motor via a bevel gear 37 and clutch members 39 and 40.
