Abstract

1,149,957. Ship's ladders. CANTIERI NAVALI ITALIANI (ANSALDO-C.R.D.A. -NAVALMECCANICA) ITALCANTIERI S.p.A. 6 May, 1966, No. 20104/66. Heading A6L. A ship's accommodation ladder 7, pivoted at its upper end to a platform, is raised into a horizontal storage position by cables 6 passing via pulleys 5 to the drum 12 of a winch. The pulleys 5 are mounted on a framework 1 provided with guides 8 to receive the ladder. The framework 1 is pivoted at 10 and the ladder platform is also provided, so that further operation of the drum 12 after the ladder is received by the guides 8 tilts the ladder into a recess 13 on the side of the ship.
