Abstract
1,001,049. Collapsible tower cranes. BYGGERIETS MASKINSTATIONER A.B. June 24, 1963 [July 3, 1962], No. 24972/63. Heading B8B. A tower crane with a jib 3 has its tower in two parts: an upper part 1 pivoted at 4 to a lower part 2 pivoted at 7 to a carriage 6. When charging from the working position (Fig. 1) to the transport position (Fig. 2), the jib 3 is tilted to the vertical position, its connection with the upper part 1 released and it is then slid into the upper part 1 by a hand winch 12, rollers 8 on the jib 3 co-operating with guides 5 in the upper part 1. The tower is then folded down about pivots 4 and 7.
