Abstract

890,736. Mobile jib cranes. ETABLISSEMENTS BELINGARD S.a.r.l. Aug. 22, 1958 [Aug. 26, 1957], No. 27041/58. Class 78 (4). The jib of a crane mounted on wheels or endless tracks comprises a boom 5 which is pivoted about a horizontal axis on a turntable on the crane body and to the outer end of which is pivoted a crane arm 4, the arrangement being such that the jib can be folded down as shown in Fig. 4. A fluid pressure ram 6 effects luffing of the crane arm 4 relative to the boom 5 which is luffed by a further ram (not shown) and the jib is slewed by a ram 12. During transport of the load it may be brought into contact with a plate P to reduce the distance between the load and the front of the crane body.
