766,334. Stewing jib cranes. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AKT.- GES. Feb. 9, 1954, No. 3756/54. Class 78 (4). The slewing mast 3, 4 of a crane is mounted directly, without the interposition of a platform, in the supporting structure or gantry of the crane and forms, at its lower end, the driver's cabin 7. The mast is supported by a thrust bearing 6 and by an upper roller guide (not shown). It is of square section and comprises four standards 3 joined by sheet metal members 4. It is fitted with brackets supporting the hoisting gear 11, the slewing gear (not shown) and the luffing gear 13. Access to the cabin is by a ladder 14 leading to an opening 15 in the mast.
