Abstract
1,093,679. Climbing tower cranes. HILGERS A.G. Oct. 24, 1966 [Oct. 27, 1965], No. 47657/66. Heading B8B. A climbing tower crane comprises mast sections 1 surrounded at the upper end by a guide sleeve 2 carrying a roller bearing connection 3 from which the climbing crane section 4 projects upwardly and rearwardly with respect to the load-carrying boom 5 to an extent leaving enough space for a mast section 1 to be lowered by the load hook 7 through the roller bearing 3. In line with the boom 5, which has a traveller 6, is a counter-boom 8 with a displaceable counterweight 9. The mounting of a further mast section is effected without re-moving the hoisting cable.
