Abstract
1,102,280. Telescopic mobile tower-cranes. RICHIER. 11 May, 1965 [11 May, 1964], No. 19940/65. Heading B8B. Extra sections 4c may be added to the upper portion 4b of a telescopic mast of a tower crane by removing a portion 22 of the lower section 4a, sliding the section 4c into place along a platform 20, 21, and lowering the upper portion 4b on ot the section 4c. A cable 14 raises the jib to a horizontal position as the tower is extended. This cable is lengthened by the height of a section each time an extra one is added. A counterweight 2e is provided and stabilizing jacks may be provided. The crane folds for transit.
