Abstract
1504969 Access equipment SIMON ENG DUDLEY Ltd 27 Feb 1976 [1 March 1975] 8650/75 Heading B8H Access equipment comprises a wheeled vehicle whose chassis 10 carries only one boom structure 16, 18, which can be raised and lowered in a vertical plane and has a working platform or cage 15 at its free end with means for raising and lowering the boom structure 16, 18 whereby a workman or workmen may have access to elevated working positions has the boom structure connected to the vehicle at a position offset laterally from the centre line of the vehicle. As shown, in end elevation, first section 16 of the boom structure is pivoted to a turntable 13 and the equipment illustrated in use in a dry dock largely in the space below the bilge of the hull H of a ship with the boom structure 16, 18 located between the wall W of the dry dock and the hull H of the ship.
