Abstract

1347301 Elevatable working platforms; ladders SIMON ENG DUDLEY Ltd 25 Aug 1972 [13 Aug 1971] 38180/71 Heading E1S A working platform or cage 13 is carried on elevating equipment comprising at least one boom 10 pivotally mounted on supporting structure, e.g. a turntable 11 on a vehicle, and access to the platform is gained by a ladder 14 hingedly connected along one side edge to a lower side edge of the boom, so that the ladder is movable between the operative position shown and a stowed position against a side wall of the boom. A handrail 16 is provided on the other side edge of the ladder, and the handrail lies adjacent the upper wall of the boom when the ladder is stowed, (Fig. 3, not shown).
