Abstract
393,002. Vibratory apparatus for consolidating, separating, &c. operations. WINGET, Ltd., The Cape, Warwick, and MARTINEZ, H., 4, Stephendale Terrace, St. Peter's, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Dec. 30, 1931, No. 36008. [Classes 86 and 117.] Vibratory apparatus for consolidating, separating, &c. operations, of the type consisting of a table resiliently supported and adapted to be adjusted relatively to cam &c. mechanism for varying the amplitude of vibration imparted to it, is also loaded by springs opposing the supporting springs and forming means whereby the intensity of the vibrations may be varied. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, a frame 13 is vertically adjustable on a base by simultaneously operated eccentrics 19 and supports the table 10 through the medium of rods 12 and springs 14, 15 bearing on the upper and under side of the frame. The vibrating mechanism consists of two intergeared cam wheels 25 coacting with rollers 30 depending from the table. In the alternative form shown in Fig. 3, the table 10 is directly supported from the base 34 by springs 14, and bears on eccentrics 19. Keeper plates 33 bear on the under side of the eccentrics and provide abutments for springs 15 surrounding the rods 12 passing freely through the plates. The eccentrics are connected by a rod 23 and are adjusted through crank 38, link 37, and lever 24, which works behind a quadrant 39.
