Abstract
388,990. Rotary engines. CALZONI, A., Bologna, Italy. July 8, 1932, No. 19377. [Class 110 (ii). The stator c of a rotary engine has an internal liner R provided with equidistant openings having their axes inclined to the centre line and alternating with solid portions preferably of the same width as the openings, those openings x in the inlet and outlet zones N being through holes and those in the other zones being blind. The blades D on the rotor B are grooved at S to permit the passage of fluid, and are held against the stator, to make them project and thus facilitate starting, by two rings E mounted on the sides of the drum B and on which lateral projections F of the blades bear.
