Abstract
522,473. Rotary engines &c. FULCHER, F. C. Oct 12, 1938, No. 29557. [Class 110 (ii)] The open end of an overhung rotor 13 carrying sliding rocking vanes 15 runs in a groove 41 in an insert plate 21 clamped between the open end of the casing 10 and an end plate 20. The cavity 22 of the end plate is divided by webs 36, 37 which make sealing engagement with the plate 21 and by means of the portions of that cavity, so separated, and ports 42, 45 through the insert plate, the inner and outer working chambers are connected in appropriate pairs S, S<1> and D, D<1>.
