385,170. Photographic roll-film cameras. KODAK, Ltd., Kingsway, London.-(Eastman Kodak Co. ; 343, State Street, Rochester, New York, U.S.A.) April 11, 1932, No. 10385. [Class 98 (i).] Winding means for the spools of roll film cameras has the driving means between the spool flange 4 and the winding-key 9 in the form of a disc 8 with peripheral flats on one part engaging correspondingly shaped walls in a recess formed by a rib 6 in the other part. Instead of the parts being arranged as shown in Fig. 2, the recessed member may be carried by the winding-key as shown in Fig. 4. To insert the spool, the frame 12, 13 is extended as shown in Fig. 2, and the flange 3 of the spool is engaged over a pin 16 and housed between arcuate projections 11 on the member 12. The frame is then collapsed to hold the spool and engage the winding-key therewith. To avoid inserting the spool the wrong way round, the outside periphery of the flange 4 is of such dimensions that it will not pass between the projections 11. A recess 20 is provided for using a winding-key of the usual type if desired.
