Colour photography.-To a film sensitive to several colours, or to the leader strip thereof, is attached a filter mask or colour-ratio controller which, when used in conjunction with a standard colour filter having areas which transmit different colours, will adapt the filter to the coloursensitivity of the particular emulsion on the film. Attention is thereby directed to the mask when the film is being inserted in the camera. The mask or controller 7, which may take the form shown in Fig. 5 for use with a colour-band filter 17 when employing lenticular sensitive films, may be enclosed in a box 6 attached as by threading, or by clips, to the leader strip 3 of the sensitive film, which is enclosed in a metal case 2 contained in a cardboard package 1. A recess 21 in the flange of the mask 7 is adapted to engage a lug 22 on the flange of the filter 17 in order to align the cut-out parts of the mask with the filter bands. An arm 18 on the filter engages an aperture in the lens mount 16 to align the filter bands' with the lenticulations of the film in the gate of the camera. The mask may take any of the forms described in Specification 295,995.
