384,925. Internal-expanding brakes. CONDOR MANUFACTURE SUISSE DE CYCLES ET MOTOCYCLES, Courfaivre, Switzerland. June 27, 1932, No. 18177. Convention date, June 15. [Class 103 (i).] Drum brake comprises two or more flexible shoes having a radius less than that of the interior of the drum and controlled simultaneously by members moving them tangentially in such a manner that the middle part of the surface of each shoe first touches the drum, the contact afterwards extending to the two ends of each shoe. The shoes 2, 21 are mounted by means of recesses 6, 6<1> on studs 5, 5<1> on the backplate 4 and are controlled by cams 9, 9<1>, interconnected by levers 12, 12<1> and a link 11 and operated by a lever 7 on the shaft 8 of the cam 9.
