Abstract
381,542. Automatic guns. STALLER, K., 7, U. Lazaretu, Br³nn, Czecho-Slovakia. June 29, 1931, No. 18800. [Classes 92 (ii) and 119.] Relates to recoiling- barrel guns of the kind having on the barrel extension 6 a lever 33 which engages a fixed abutment 37 to impart an accelerated rearward movement to the breechblock 12 after its release from the barrel 1. According to the invention, the accelerating- lever 33 is provided with a controlling surface 30 for engagement with the surface 31 of the member operating the breech block, which controlling surface commences on the axis of rotation 35 of the lever. The accelerating lever is readily inserted in part-circular bearings 44 between the side walls of the barrel extension 6, and is connected by a pin 51 and rod 53 to a recoil and run-out spring device of the kind described in Specification 371,871, the spring of which is additionally loaded when the lever 33 is in action as shown in Fig. 7.
