Abstract

313,403. Redfern, G. A., (Soc. Italiana E. Breda). April 13, 1928. Divided on 315,464. Machine guns.-Relates to short barrel-recoil guns, for example such as are described in Specification 315,464, and consists in providing the pivoted trigger 37 with a spring plunger 38 for engagement with the sear 40 to withdraw the same from the breech-bolt 16. Moreover, the plunger 38 is attached to a rod 44 which bears against the cartridge feed-plate B, and this plate is provided with a projection 45 at the end or at any other desired position. When the projection 45 comes against the rod 44, this rod is pushed back and withdraws the plunger 38 from the sear 40, and the released sear re-engages the breechblock, and stops the firing of the gun.
