377,947. Transformers. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Jan. 29, 1931, No. 2926. Convention date, Feb. 15, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 38 (ii).] High tension windings for connection to measuring instruments, indicators,relays, or for earthing the neutral point of alternating- current systems, or for capacitance compensation on long high tension lines, comprise a number of winding sections 1, core sections 2 .. 5 with intervening insulation 16, and a laminated casing consisting also of insulated sections 141 .. 145. Iron discs 17 which may also be insulated are provided for reducing the end-flux resistance paths. The core and casing parts may be constructed of strip material, the core being given a hollow form. The non- magnetic gaps in the core and casing may be relatively staggered, and the units may be suspended. In a modification, Fig. 6, the core 31 is of such dimensions that it can house a current transformer 32, the current and voltage windings being contained within an insulating casing 27.
