374,065. Tractor-trailer couplings.. BROCKHOUSE & CO., Ltd., J., Victoria Works, and DEAR, A. T. C., The Crest, both in Hill Top, West Bromwich. Feb. 24,. 1931, No. 5738. [Class 79 (iii).] In a ball-andsocket coupling for trailer vehicles provided with a manually-operated locking device for securing the cup member to the ball member, the cup member b<1> is provided with a spring- loaded pin b<2> passing transversely across the mouth of the cup and having a clearance b<6>, as shown in the inverted plan view, Fig. 2, to permit disengagement of the ball from the socket when the pin is rotated through 180‹ by the handle b<4>. The ball member a<2> is bolted to the towing vehicle while the cup member b<1> is formed integral with a bracket b adapted to be attached to the draw-bar of a trailer.
