Abstract

230,654. Eagle Engineering Co., Ltd., and Palmer, R. G. April 15, 1024. Couplings for road vehicles.-Part of a coupling of the ball and socket type is formed in a bolt or pin 5 adapted to be positioned within the usual rear coupling lugs 3 of a tractor. The ,head of the bolt 5 forms the ball member of the coupling, the socket being formed in the head of a pin 6<0> in the front end of a trailer drawbar 8. Disengagement of the ball and socket is prevented by an expanding spring washer 9. In a modification, the socket is formed in the coupling bolt 5.
