Couplings for road vehicles.-A coupling for limbers and other military vehicles and comprieing a hook and eye or equivalent device has one member formed so that a draught pole may be inserted therein, or secured thereon, to enable the limbers to be used separately or as front limbers. As shown, the coupling comprises a plate c carried by the draught bar a and provided with pins b which engage apertures in the disc-shaped end of a member d formed with all eye to engage a hook on the limber front. The member d is held against the plate c by a spring e abutting against the plate and against nuts &c. on a bolt f having a spherical head engaging a ccrrespondingly shaped seating on the member d. To use the limber separately or as a front limber, a sleeve i on the end of the pole h is pushed on the member d and secured thereon by a pin k.
