[Class 135.] A speed governor for internal-combustion engines comprises a washer b the aperture of which is smaller than the induction pipe a and a mushroom valve c the diameter of which is smaller than the aperture and provided with webs upon its stem loosely fitting the sides of the induction pipe. The upward travel of the valve is limited by the horizontal pipe d. In a modification the valve is guided by a spider g arranged on the washer and is loaded by a spring e.
