507,781. Electrically-actuated valves. DIXON, D. T., and DIXON, G. N. Jan. 28, 1938, No. 2718. [Class 135] [Also in Group XXXV] An electromagnetically actuated valve for insertion in the induction system of an internal combustion engine for the purpose of automatic limitation of speed, comprises a gasket-like element c for insertion in the joint between two pipes and a disc-like valve element a pivoted about a diameter within the gasket-like element, which last supports a solenoid e for operating the valve. The disc a has an orifice and opposite sides are stepped as shown in Fig. 4a. A slotted arm f extending from the solenoid arc engages a crank to actuate the valve, the movement permitted to which may be adjusted by a disc d on the solenoid arc which also increases the pull.
