Abstract
368,234. Pack parachutes. LUND - HOLM, C. H., 4, Võrtra Trõdgardsgatan, Stockholm. Aug. 27, 1930, No. 25610.. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 4.] A parachute pack is closed by two flaps 20, 20<1> having eyelets fitting over studs 24 on a locking plate 23, wires 26, 27 connected respectively to a hand ring 29 and to the static cord 31 being passed through holes in the studs so that the pack can be opened by withdrawing either wire. The flaps are tensioned by steel springs 21 so as to roll up as shown in Fig. 2 when released but these springs can be replaced if broken by elastics connected to rings 22. The flaps 20, 20<1> enclose a pilot parachute the shroud lines 17 of which are connected to wires 16 passed through loops 13 on a flap 12b threaded through holes in a flap 11b respectively on main flaps 12, 11 enclosing the main parachute.. Additional flaps 11a, 12a may be temporarily held together by passing a rod 14 through holes in these flaps until the loops 13 are threaded. The wire 27 is passed through a spiral wire guide 30.
