Abstract

387,388. Parachute harness. LUNDHOLM AKTIEBOLAG, C. H., 4, Vastra Trõdgõrdsgatan, Stockholm. Aug. 5, 1931, No. 22246. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1930. [Class 141.] Relates to body harness of the type described in Specification 361,869, in which the straps are secured by a common looking device by the operation of which the parachutist may be released, and consists in a construction of harness in which the parachutist sits, as in a swing, and which is provided with leg straps which do not pass up straight between the legs, but are either pulled laterally by side straps or are looped over straps connected to the locking device. The first mentioned type of construction is shown in Fig. 1, the leg straps 7, 8 passing from near the centre of the sling 1, upwardly but being pulled laterally by the sections 9 .. 12 of a strap which passes at 14 around the back of the wearer. Another form of construction is shown in Fig. 2, the leg straps 21, 22 being looped around straps 23, 24 respectively. The straps 23, 24 are connected to the locking device 6.
