Abstract
365,596. Couplings for road vehicles. KEGRESSE, A., 156, Rue Armand Silvestre, Courbevoie, France. Oct. 16, 1930, No. 31032. Convention date, Oct. 17, 1929. [Class 79 (iii).] A coupling hook 6 for a trailer is adapted to be secured in alternative positions on the tractor, being carried by a plate 7 trunnioned about a transverse axis 8 on the frame 1 so that it may occupy either a rearward or forward position as shown. The coupling hook is pivoted about an axis 10 between lugs 9 on the plate, a transverse bearer bar 5 being pivoted about the same axis. In either position of the device, the bar 5 seats in a channelled cross-bar 4 secured to the frame and is secured therein by spring bolts 3 in brackets 2. An opening in the plate 7 provides clearance for the necessary inversion of the hook and bearer bar 5.
