Abstract

199,530. Govin, A. April 8, 1922. Controlling by contact with obstruction. - Relates to means for stopping or disconnecting the motor of a tractor when the tension in the coupling to the trailer or agricultural implement becomes excessive. The coupling includes two compression springs R arranged between cross bars 1, 2, connected respectively to the trailer and tractor. A chain 8 connects the front cross bar 1 to the clutch operating lever L on the tractor so that the clutch is disconnected when the coupling yields due to excessive resistance of the trailer &c.
