Articulated road vehicles; couplings. -A frame D is secured to the rear of the tractor A and is mounted on wheels F adapted to be driven by chains from the rear axle B of the tractor. The 'distance between the two axles is adjusted by means of radius rods G. The forward end of the trailer is supported on a turntable K by means of a spindle N and bracket P. The spindle passes through an eye bolt R having a nut r<2>. A spring W is interposed between the nut and a channel plate S secured to girders T, T<1>.
