Abstract

377,450. Vehicle wheels. PIRQUET, S., XXI/7, Hirschstetten, Vienna. Aug. 11, 1931, No. 22709. Convention date, Aug. 11, 1930. [Class 144 (i).] Auxiliary road-wheels 8 for use on tractors are mounted on detachable extensions 6 of the axles 1 so that the strakes 2 of the tractor-wheels are raised clear of the ground. In the construction shown, the tubular extension 6 is formed with a flange 14 bolted to the spokes or hub of the tractor-wheel, the road-wheel 8 being secured by a washer 12 and cotter-pin 11. The drive is transmitted to the wheel 8 by means of dogs 9 projecting from the rim 3 of the tractor-wheel.
