Abstract

350,189. Hatches. MAcGREGOR, R. and MACGREGOR & KING, Ltd., 5, Lloyds Avenue, London. May 12. 1930, No. 14554. [Class 113 (i).] Hatch beams are supported by slotting the coaming plates 1 to take the hatch beams 5, the flanged ends of which project outside the coaming where they are housed by coverplates 7. The hatch coaming angle-bar 3 is slotted to receive clamps 9 which take over battens 10 for the tarpaulins which partly rest on distancepieces 3 separating the coamings from the coverplates. The tarpaulins are further secured by clamps engaging the edges of the coaming angle-bars, these clamps being connected by stretcher-bars.
