Abstract

350,077. Endless belt conveyers. MAVOR & COULSON, Ltd. and THOMSON, J., 47, Broad Street, Mile-End, Glasgow. March 19, 1930, No. 8779. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv).] In an endless belt conveyer system for loading ships of the kind comprising a conveyer A, a pan B, and a conveyer C which can be slued and inclined at various angles, the conveyer C is carried upon a mast D which is supported by bearings at its foot and head, and the pan B is mounted on the mast to slue with the conveyer C. The head bearings are carried by ties 3 extending rearwardly to fixed anchorages, and the mast structure includes struts 4 which extend rearwardly and carry a roller running on a track concentric with the part D. The conveyer C may be an extensible one of the kind described in Specification 330,700, [Class 78 (i), Conveyers &c.], and may deliver to an antibreakage device F which is suspended adjustably from a jib E. The stationary conveyer A is supported by a column 2.
