[Class 78 (iv)] Scraper-apparatus for loading .broken-down products, e.g. ore, in mines, is constructed with the scraper winch, its operating motor, and the return or head pulley for the hauling cable, all mounted on a support adapted to pivot on a vertical axis relatively to the loading frame or chassis and the latter carries an endless conveyer receiving from a short shoot fed by the scraper and delivering material to the tubs or corves. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the inclined framework 1, carrying the forward and return winches 3 and the guide pulley 4 is pivoted on the axis 2 on the travelling loader frame 7. The scraper 14 delivers the material over the top of the incline 1 to a travelling belt or the like 5 which delivers to trucks 6. The pulley 11 is adjustable laterally in the mine gallery to suit the angle to which the framework 1 is swivelled. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the winches and all the guide pulleys are carried on a frame 23 pivoted at 24 to the travelling structure 16. The pulley 30 in this case is carried by a jib 25 pivoted to the frame 23 at 26 and fixed in various luffed positions by pinning the segment 27 to the frame. The scraper 33 travels up a swivelling or non-swivelling incline 36 and delivers to the belt 17 which feeds a two-way shoot 37 delivering alternately to trucks on parallel tracks. The two inside rails of these parallel tracks form a track for the framing 16. In a further modification the pivot axis 24 may be in line with the outer end of the incline 36.
