987,487. Conveying articles from a vehicle to a building. WHARTON ENGINEERS (ELSTREE) Ltd. Jan. 10, 1964 [Dec. 28, 1962], No. 48908/62. Heading B8E. A vehicle for the transport of valuable articles has means for their delivery between two points accessible to the public comprising a hollow boom 4 which can be pivoted up and down by a ram 10 and rotated by a turntable 2 turned by a handwheel 5. The boom has telescopic parts 7, 8 extendable by a ram 11 and articles can be carried along it by a carriage 12 driven by endless ropes or chains 15 while they may be lifted from the vehicle body by a platform device 13. Articles may also be conveyed along the boom by gravity alone or other means.
