Abstract
610,512. Roller conveyers. DAVIES, G. V. Feb. 6, 1945, No. 3009. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv)] A conveyer device comprises a unit metal plate 1 with or without downwardly turned side flanges, rails or feet 5, a plurality of rollers or sets of rollers 3 mounted in and projecting from parallel slots 2 in the plate and spaced apart to give a foothold, with or without means 7 at either end of the plate for connecting the unit to a platform, vehicle or other unit. The unit may be a plate of inverted-channel shape and several units may be bolted side-by-side, or they may be bolted or hinged together lengthwise and side handles 6 may be fitted. A unit may form the tailboard of a lorry, or the door of a railway wagon, or may be carried by a hand truck. Spikes may be fitted to the underneath for use in soft ground.
