Abstract

1,027,606. Extensible conveyers. DAVIES, PRITCHARD & RICHMOND Ltd. Oct. 28, 1964 [Nov. 9, 1963], No. 44282/63. Heading B8A. A conveyer means for loading and unloading goods on road vehicles comprises a fixed frame 10 on which the boom 16 is extendibly and retractibly mounted, and an endless belt 20 arranged to run on rollers 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 carried by the frame 10 and boom 16. The boom 16 is mounted and guided by vertical and horizontal rollers 13, 14, 15, the rollers 13 of which are adjustable to compensate for wear. The boom 16 has a rack 17 along its base, engageable by a pinion electrically driven through a reduction gear 18 on the fixed frame 10. Switch means for controlling the boom 16 may be mounted on the nose 16a thereof and cable fed to this nose via a winch drum 40 on the frame 10. The belt 20 driven from a motor driven pulley 26 is tensionable by adjustable pulley 25. Flaps 33 pivoted to sidewalls 32 are used to operate switches 34 when counting of goods conveyed is required.
