Abstract

1369418 Ship self unloading installation; feeding endless conveyers ATELIERS ET CHANTIERS DE BRETAGNE 9 Feb 1973 [9 March 1972] 6537/73 Headings B8E and B8A A ship unloading installation comprises a beam 6 supported by hangers 7, 8 from sliders 4, 5, on rails 1, 2 below the deck so that the hangers are lowerable, as by blocks and tackle and independently to allow tilting. The beam 6 supports a conveyer 13 on rollers 14, 15 and by a second beam 17 a wheel 22 rotatable by a motor 25. The second beam 17 is movable longitudinally of the beam 6 by driving wheels 18 on rails 19. The conveyer 13 feeds a bucket elevator 11 in turn feeding a conveyer 12 extending along the ship and if required fed by several installations. After lowering the beam into the hold the second beam 17 can be progressively extended to contact the material and if necessary the beam 6 is tilted to reach into corners.
