Abstract

1329677 Roller conveyers; pallets MANNESMANNAG 16 Feb 1972 [17 Feb 1971] 7242/72 Headings B8A and B8H Cargo or baggage handling apparatus comprises a roller conveyer track 1 for conveying the baggage 6 in an open topped baggage pallet 2 formed of synthetic plastics between a loading and unloading station, said pallet 2 having an aperture in its base spanned by a movable base 5, such that when it is desired to remove an article 6 from within the pallet at an unloading station, rams 9 of a lifting mechanism are extended upwards into tubes 7 formed in the base 5 thus raising the base 5 and article 6 upwards above the rim of the pallet 2, Fig. 2 (not shown). Means (not shown) are provided for stopping the pallet 2 in the travelling direction at the loading and unloading station.
